We at Vineyard Citizens for a Circular Economy (VCCE) view waste, it's current methods of processing, combined with the
unconscious bi-products of consumer culture to be the Vineyard's most pressing matter. Being subject to an import/export seasonal economy doesn't help. We are conjuring impactful ways to inspire action within organizations and municipalities.

We are a grassroots group of diverse Islanders that came together "Trash Talking" in our Vineyard Haven Bat Cave about relevant and important issues in regard to our Island's delicate ecosystems. From agriculture and tourism based economics, to affordable housing and land use, to climate action and incubator options, we run the gamut of island issues looking for ways to create systemic and behavioral change to benefit the future of Martha's Vineyard.

VCCE is working with Vineyard FutureWorks (VFW), The Martha's Vineyard Commission (MVC), and The Climate Action Task Force (CATF) to assist in designing a waste characterization study to begin Spring 2023 by the Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) . We are also working to secure sponsorship and stakeholders to support our success. With Organics

With Organics Diversion and Education as our main focus this year, with your financial support and volunteer efforts, we can accelerate as a community toward the Islands' transition toward The Vineyard Way, Martha's Climate Action Plan.
